This highly regarded restructuring and insolvency team in Leeds has been going from strength to strength over the last few years, have recently won a fantastic industry award and are very visible in the local marketplace.

They have recruited recently but also, as happens sometimes, a member of the team has now decided to step away from practice so they are now looking to recruit a further solicitor to the team.

The role

- Dealing with the full remit of predominantly non contentious transactional insolvency and restructuring work
- Acting for insolvency practitioners, LPA receivers, directors, private equity providers, banks, asset based lenders, shareholders, creditors and other financial stakeholders
- Dealing with all matters associated with restructurings including sale agreements, property issues, refinancings, disposal of assets
- Investigations into the conduct of companies and directors
- Drafting Company Voluntary Arrangements
- Defending director disqualification proceedings

Who are they looking for?

- A junior to mid level solicitor to join the team
- Around 2 to 6 years' PQE in restructuring and insolvency work gained with a recognised commercial practice or in-house
- Someone who likes to work as part of a team in a collaborative style
- A lawyer with a strong commercial approach, who is able to think 'big picture' as well as get stuck into the details
