Commercial/Real Estate Litigator (15 month contract)

This is an In-House Legal Counsel role supporting operations as part of the legal and property team. You will manage a high volume of matters relating to lease and infrastructure disputes including notice to quit and possession proceedings. Ideally you will be a Commercial or Real Estate Litigator with commercial litigation experience for matters relating to clients specific to the telecoms or utilities sectors.

You will also work with third party providers, analysing legal rights and providing strategic advice to the broader legal property team and to those third parties and their solicitors.

To be successfully in this role you will:

• Be a qualified solicitor in the UK (or other common law jurisdiction) and have a minimum of 3 years PQE.
• Have previously worked in a high paced professional environment.
• Be able to work to tight deadlines and have a track record of delivering on expectations to tight deadlines.
• Enjoy working in a collaborative team and have an ability to add value to the overall team in innovative and evolving ways.
• Be confident to deal directly with shareholders of the business and business partnerships.

A high level of proficiency with respect to the provisions of the Landlord and Tenants Act is necessary. An understanding of the Electronic Communications Code (ECC) and Code of Practice is desirable.

This is a full-time contract position for an intended period of a minimum of 15 months, offering an annualised salary, bonus and benefits and incentives. Our client offers some flexible working arrangements.
