Great opportunity for a junior commercial lawyer to join as an Associate Legal Counsel with a focus on the firm's procurement activity, particularly in relation to the purchase and utilisation of technology solutions for the business.

Description
- To be the primary point of contact for the legal aspect of the firm's procurement work, including:
Drafting and negotiating a range of supplier agreements, including complex technology and software licensing agreements (such as software licences, SaaS/cloud agreements, PaaS agreements, reseller/partner agreements, end user licence terms and software development agreements); - To be the secondary point of contact for contractual risk management advice to the firm's partners and staff in relation to client contracting activity such as drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with clients (engagement letters and framework agreements for accountancy, tax, advisory and outsourcing services, NDAs, hold harmless letters, outsourcing contracts, secondment agreements etc.);
- Supporting client-facing teams in dealing with queries from clients, their lawyers and procurement teams relating to the firm's terms of business.
Profile
Suitable candidates will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Law degree;
- Legal qualification or commensurate experience in a professional legal role;
- Minimum 1-5 years post-qualification experience in a UK law firm, or equivalent experience in a professional legal role at a large firm or commercial organisation;
- experience of advising on/negotiating/drafting/managing commercial contracts (ideally in the professional services or technology sectors and/or a procurement function in a large commercial organisation);
- knowledge of standard commercial boilerplate clauses;
