Client Details

A Birmingham law firm.

Description

This is an opportunity to work within a sector focused Energy/Utilities team as part of a wider Commercial practice.

The firm is looking to grow their offering - due to an increase in work and future work through a robust business plan - with the recruitment of at least one solicitor with a strong background in this type of work.

The team is currently small so this is a great opportunity for you to join at a time when the team has big growth plans.

The firm is particularly interested in speaking with lawyers with the following types of experience:

  • General Utilities/Water/Energy contracts
  • Competition/Regulatory
  • Industry Regulations
  • Renewable Energy

You would be working alongside a senior sector lawyer who has a strong client base and connections in this area.

What the firm can offer you:

  • Work/life balance - remote and agile working are supported, as well as part time for the right person. Full time solicitors will of course be considered
  • Working in a supportive culture
  • Strong client base
  • Working with national clients and colleagues
  • Chance to help grow the offering
  • True sector focus which is supported by the firm
  • Opportunity to be involved in tenders/pitches if of interest
  • Competitive salary

Profile

The firm is particularly interested in Energy/Utilities lawyers who may be working for the large international firms but want to do something different.

The firm has also been very successful hiring lawyers from in-house companies who have had reseverations about moving into practice. The firm can offer genuinely flexible working and can support remote working where appropriate (although you would need to be in the office on most days).

It's crucial that the team finds people with genuine experience or interest in this sector.

Job Offer

Competitive salary, friendly and supportive culture and good progression opportunities.
