Associate/Senior Associate Lawyer required by Birmingham Real Estate Firm
Your new company
A global law firm is looking for an Associate/Senior Associate Lawyer for their Real Estate Planning Division based in Birmingham. Located in over 40 countries this leading global law firm deliver innovative legal solutions across an impressive client base. The Planning Team in Birmingham advise on a range of planning issues from, development planning and compulsory purchase to the promotion of development consent orders for multinational, Global 1000, and Fortune 500 enterprises to emerging companies developing industry-leading technologies, as well as government and public-sector bodies. Working on some of the largest development and infrastructure projects in the UK along with international projects in Asia and the Middle East.
Your new role
As the Real Estate Planning Lawyer, you will be covering a broad range of work to include:
- Managing the promotion of nationally significant infrastructure projects, compulsory purchase orders and other related orders
- Drafting and negotiating of complex planning obligations
- Advising on environmental impact and appropriate assessments
- Delivering strategic planning advice
- Supporting advocates and counsel at inquiries and in legal proceedings
- Implementing compulsory purchase powers and advising on compensation
- Drafting articles and briefings
- Developing relationships with existing clients along with development of new business
What you'll need to succeed
The successful Associate/Senior Associate should ideally be 5 -9 years PQE with experience of promoting nationally significant infrastructure projects and/or compulsory purchase orders. As the Planning Lawyer you will need to be commercially astute with excellent communication skills to develop new clients and thrive in a Firm who strives to deliver quality, service excellence and value to their clients.
