The Business
Our client is a leading Energy Trading company, based in central London. They trade a range of electricity, natural gas, LNG, oil and coal products and have nearly 1000 staff across various offices globally.
The Role
The role forms part of a dynamic legal team which provides legal support to every transaction within the business and additionally provides commercial support to other business areas including procurement and finance. The role will provide direct support to energy trading and origination as well as supporting structured transactions and M&A work. Being a broad position, you will also be expected to provide general company related advice including company secretarial matters.
Candidate Requirements
- Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years' PQE
- Experience in commodities is desirable as is energy experience
- Experience in corporate governance / company secretarial matters would be advantageous
- Strong commercial acument and excellent communication skills
This role would suit a private practice lawyer seeking their first in house position, or a lawyer already working in an in house role.
