Locum Employment Solicitor, Birmingham City Centre, Competitive Salary, Leading Local Authority
Your new company
Due to an increased workload, we are now looking to recruit a Locum Employment Solicitor to work in the heart of the city centre for a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of being extended further. Your new role
As an experienced Employment Solicitor, you will be supporting the wider Employment Law team within Birmingham City Council in a number of areas. You will be required to represent the Council for employment tribunals liaising with both internal staff and third party representatives. This will include some advocacy work, settlement agreements, Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests. In addition, you will provide employment advice on new and existing projects throughout the Council.
What you'll need to succeed
As a qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive, you will have a minimum of 2 years PQE within Employment Law. Experience of tribunals, settlement agreements and employment advice would be essential. Experience of working within a unionised environment would be highly beneficial.
