Description

There is genuine opportunity to shape this role and the legal function as the business continues to grow and evolve. You will be a self-starter who will enjoy the challenge of being exposed to a variety of commercial transactions and legal challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and negotiating contracts

• Reviewing and negotiating contracts proposed by third parties (including third party Ts & Cs)

• Processing litigation

• Procuring advice from specialist external counsel

• Being the first point of contact for all legal matters across the business

• Advocate good corporate governance across the organisation

• Excellent communication skills, professional attitude at all times and a pragmatic approach to provide solutions to identified issues and supportive of innovation and adept at change management.

• Proactive, self-confident and assertive team player able to contribute to strategy and tactics in every area of the company.

Profile

We're looking for a part-time Head of Legal with strong corporate governance experience. This role is very varied with a focus on commercial contracts. Experience of SaaS and software contracts would be a massive advantage.

• You're great with people - you understand how to get the best out of people, delivering a message right and influencing across different teams and stakeholders

• You're bold and prepared to drive change - you use learning techniques, soft skills and lead by example to inject new ways of thinking wherever needed and you're not adverse to trying new things in order to deliver the best possible service
