Childcare Lawyer

LAW Absolute is recruiting to a Childcare Lawyer role with a local authority based in South London.

Our client is seeking Childcare Lawyers available on short notice as this position is being offered on an initial three month temporary basis.

As the successful Childcare Lawyer you will be required to undertake the following duties:

• Carry a caseload of approximately 14 cases (mixture of cases in proceedings and PLO matters)
• Provide advice and representation relating to childcare matters including; care proceedings, adoption, child protection and fostering
• Undertake advocacy in court to include; CMC’s, IRH’s, PLO’s and Direction Hearings
• Attend meetings alongside expert witnesses
• Attend legal planning meetings

Due to the urgent nature of the role, you must be available on no more than three weeks’ notice in order to be considered. Previous experience of working within another local authority would be advantageous although candidates from the private sector with public childcare exposure are encouraged to apply.
