Kennedys is looking for a Corporate Affairs Lawyer to join their London office. The primary purpose of this role is to support Kennedys in meeting the goal to lead in providing provoking thought leadership and public affairs initiatives to the firm’s market and insurance clients.  This includes examining the impact of legal and political shifts on the international insurance environment and the steps relevant stakeholders need to take to protect the sector’s future.

Using a variety of channels in order to raise the firm’s profile, you will bring ideas to the role to support clients with intelligence, advice, campaigns and connectivity. There will be a heavy emphasis on communications and research; writing and co-authoring relevant content for a range of publications/media.  This will involve working closely with partners, lawyers and Business Services teams.
 

Requirements  

• Experience of the legal and insurance industries and excellent understanding of client markets, regulatory environments and business objectives within those industries.
• At least three years’ PQE.
• Proven ability to demonstrate attention to detail and reliability.  Instils confidence in the team and business community in capabilities and work product.
• Proven ability to demonstrate proactivity and use of initiative. Self-motivation with the ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
• Extensive industry research expertise.
• Experience of communicating complex issues with clarity, particularly in writing.
• Demonstrable strong writing skills including the ability to write for the internet and non-legal audiences.
• Demonstrable good IT skills including graphic design and PowerPoint presentations to a high level.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organisational skills. A self-starter.
• The ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
• To operate with credibility at a partnership level.
• A track record of delivering results and maintaining high standards of excellence.
• A can-do attitude with the energy to see initiatives through to their conclusion.
