Senior Developer - Bolton

A leading national Law Firm based in Bolton is looking for a talented Senior Developer to work primarily within the Development Team to develop their in house applications, automation frameworks, software infrastructure-as-code pipelines, micro-services framework and monitoring-as-code framework. Some development work on products for clients will also be involved.

A brief list of role responsibilities includes:

• Being the leader for the design and development of high-quality applications utilising the firm's strategic technologies.
• Collaborating with the Firm's architects to develop frameworks
• Defining, updating and following software development patterns and standards.
• Providing technical assistance, support and development skills across the company.
• Liaising with 3rd party software providers throughout the lifecycle and ensuring excellent relations are maintained through effective communication.
• Mentoring and coaching the less experienced developers and team members to share knowledge and strengthen the whole team as a result.
• Researching new technologies and making new suggestions where applicable.

SUMMARY

• Salary: £45,000 to £55,000

• Report to: Head of Development
• Previous Experience: Relevant strong programming skills (MVC, , C#, Java Script/Query etc) and experience in developing real world solutions that serve a business need.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The Senior Developer must be someone who can demonstrate a strong CV and relevant prior experience in a commercial setting. You must be an excellent communicator able to explain concepts clearly to others. Working in a professional Legal environment, you are expected to have an attention to detail and work in a methodical and accurate manner, with a highly committed attitude to achieve continual excellence in your role. A Senior role requires you to be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
