Our client, a top US law firm, is looking for an experienced Conflicts Analyst to join their growing team in London. In this newly created role, the Conflicts Analyst will work collaboratively with Conflicts team to provide a research service for the purpose of determining client conflicts of interest. The Conflicts professional will be responsible for the entire conflicts process, from research through resolution of conflicts, through opening of new matters. Key responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Conduct conflict searches and analyze search results with the appropriate internal and external databases
  • Ensure that all necessary information is obtained so that an accurate search can be completed
  • Maintaining a database of information about firm clients and related parties
  • Perform corporate research using CapitalIQ and Dun & Bradstreet
  • Keeping abreast of the SRA rules and changing regulatory requirements
  • Identify potential conflicts. Provide Firm lawyers with conflicts summaries and communicate with Firm lawyers
  • Work with Firm lawyers, Assistant General Counsel and Senior Conflicts Attorneys to assist with conflict resolution
  • Review new client and matter forms to ensure that all information, signatures, and documentation have been received for approval
  • Draft waivers and ethical screens
  • Assist with department projects and special requests

The ideal candidate for the Conflicts Analyst role will have previous conflicts research experience. A relevant degree is ideally required. Familiarity with the use of various reference materials and internet searching as well as the ability to manage multiple projects. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with enthusiasm and a flexible approach.
