Employment Law Solicitor.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an employment law solicitor or legal executive to join a highly regarded Employment Team of a Legal 500 firm in Nottingham.
My client is a multi-service Legal 500 law firm in Nottingham with a fantastic reputation for its employment law provision. The department is led by a very high profile partner and assisted by a couple of other excellent fee earners. It is an established team.
You will ideally have between 1 to 6 years' PQE to fit in with current team structure, however, those outside this banding will also be considered so please do apply.
Working closely with the employment partner, you will have your own caseload of broad employment matters. Acting for both claimants and respondents, the employment solicitor will advise on both contentious and non-contentious matters including TUPE, restrictive covenants, whistleblowing & discrimination and employment tribunal litigation matters.
On the respondent side, the client base is very strong and they act for employers from SME's to larger corporates (including well known retail chains). However, the successful employment law solicitor will also be encouraged to develop their own client network through business development, networking and marketing initiatives.
Operating with the client base, they will give you daily challenges which include advising senior executives on complex issues.
Other complex issues can be around reorganisations and restructuring of a firm – this could mean redundancy exercises, large scale consultations, implementing changes to terms and conditions of employment and so forth.
You should have good academics and be commercial in approach, along with being well trained. Applications from relocators will be considered but you should be able to demonstrate a commitment to live and work in the area.
Salary will be to negotiation based upon experience. Superb perks and benefits are also associated with this opportunity.
