Legal & Compliance Analyst, Asset Management
Our client, an established asset manager, is looking for a paralegal/legal professional to join the small London based legal and compliance team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with an experienced Head of Legal and is ideal for someone looking to get experience in a dynamic asset management environment.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure all legal and compliance agreements, HR records and internal processes are documented and followed.
- Arranging and conducting board meetings, writing up minutes and records and liaising with external SPV service providers as required.
- Establish and maintain an up-to-date corporate database for all SPV within the Department
- Make filings with Companies House as required
- Monitor practices followed at SPVs and suggest any improvements required in order to comply with corporate substance requirements
- Coordinate with other departments with respect to different aspects of the investment process
- Liaise and maintain relationships with stakeholders, consultants, advisors and SPV managers
- Support the implementation of an effective compliance strategy
- Assist in the development of policies, the establishment of review procedures and the preparation of status reports
Skills and qualifications
- Law graduate
- Up to 2 years’ legal work experience
- Some financial services experience, ideally in investment/asset management
- Strong research, drafting, negotiating, and implementation skills
