The ideal candidate will be a practicing Solicitor or Barrister with substantial experience in handling commercial contracts matters, specifically those relating to construction contracts. Local Authority experience is desirable but not essential.

Duties will include: providing advice on general commercial contract issues, handling construction law related matters, representing the council at committees, meetings and at court when necessary and briefing Counsel when required.

An attractive rate of up to £45 per hour is offered (dependant on experience). The client is ideally looking for someone to work on a full-time basis but can offer some flexibility on remote working.
