Litigation Assistant Role Description

We are looking for a Litigation Assistant to assist with defendant personal injury motor claims. This is a great opportunity to work on a high quality caseload for a variety of clients on defendant personal injury work, from insurers and claim handling companies, to supply chains and fleets, retail and self-insured companies. In this role, your main responsibilities will include legal and technical research, instructing the necessary experts, and taking witness statements. Our ideal candidate must have at least 6 months' experience of defendant personal injury motor claims within a law firm, although claimant motor litigation experience will be considered. Knowledge of the personal injury pre-action protocol is also highly desirable, although not essential, alongside defendant motor litigation and recovery work.

Key Tasks

• Work on a high quality caseload for a variety of clients on defendant personal injury work
• Draft witness statements, including layout, paragraphs and appropriate legal language.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle a constantly changing workload
• The ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels
• Have a good eye for detail, and ensure all documentation is accurate
