Paralegal Role Description

We are looking for a Paralegal in Leeds to work with the Occupational Health team on a varied caseload, dealing with various employers/public liability claims. You will be learning from industry leading experts in a friendly and committed working environment and get involved in a variety of tasks such as assisting with pre-litigation claims handling issued claims, including infant settlement claims and PAD applications. Your other main duties will include drafting various pleadings, reports to clients, attending court hearings, working to court deadlines, and liability investigations with Defendants. Our ideal candidate will preferably have personal injury or EL/PL experience and will be able to demonstrate a real interest in handling a wide variety of interesting and challenging defendant work.

Key Tasks:

• Taking witness statements, drafting various pleadings, attending court hearings, and working to court deadlines
• Arrange documents in an efficient and convenient manner for storage and future reference
• The ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels
• Have a good eye for detail, and ensure all documentation is accurate
