Our client, a Top 50 Law Firm, is looking to bring on board a Risk and Compliance Solicitor for a contract of 6 months to assist with an influx of work. Whilst the role is for an initial period of 6 months, there is a significant chance the role will become a permanent fixture. Previous members of the team started their roles on a contract basis before being made a permanent member of staff.
The firm is a forward thinking and market leading practice who are highly regarded in the market for handling top tier matters.
The successful Risk & Compliance Solicitor will join the firm's Risk team and will have responsibility for:
- Assisting with complaints and claims
- Preparing draft notifications to insurers
- Maintaining bordereau
- Drafting internal communications
- Maintaining risk registers
- Reviewing contracts from a risk perspective
- Working with Risk lawyers on implementation of risk projects
- File review following client request
- Preparing instructions to counsel
- Conducting research
- Attending meetings with Risk Partner and assisting on the implementation of risk projects
Successful candidates are likely to be qualified lawyers with previous experience in an internal Risk team (candidates working In House as well as in practice will be considered); possess strong academics; good working knowledge of commercial and contract law; strong interpersonal skills; possess a willingness to work as part of a wider team as well as working autonomously.
