Your new role
Our client are one of the fastest growing retailers in the UK and have an excellent opportunity for a paralegal to join their in-house legal team to provide direct support to their business. You will cover a range of legal matters that will guide the business towards achieving great results. This will include drafting and negotiating goods and services contracts, reviewing marketing material, and assisting the property team with lease management and completion. Reporting to the Legal Director, you will liaise with external lawyers, support colleagues, maintain databases and oversee a number of matters that pertain to the legal integrity of the business. This will also involve building relationships with colleagues from across the business to help them develop and follow best practice.
About you
You will be a paralegal with good commercial experience, ideally within commercial contracts and/or property law. You will be willing to learn new skills and develop your understanding of the law and retail and will be motivated and driven by success. Paralegals with previous experience of working in-house are strongly encouraged to apply; experience of working on a range of purchase and supply contracts and assessing commercial risk would be desirable.
What's in it for you?
This is a great opportunity to work with a leading retail and trade business, helping to advise and support the business in a pragmatic and meaningful way. You will enjoy a competitive salary and an award-winning pension scheme, life cover, discounted healthcare and company share save schemes are all on offer. The business really value work/life balance and their flexible working approach means you can fit your hours around you; they also provide excellent in-house training and ongoing development programmes.
