Locum Paralegal - Information Governance

Venn Group's specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Paralegal for a large public sector organisation based in Birmingham.

The team are looking for someone to carry out the role for an initial period of 3 months, with the possibility of further extension beyond this dependent upon workload. This is a full time position, however part-time applicants may be considered.

The client will consider Law graduates with or without the LPC. For this role, experience working within a legal environment for a minimum of 6 months is desirable. Some exposure to Commercial Contracts and GDPR matters would also be an advantage.

Typical duties will include:

• Reviewing commercial contracts with suppliers and redrafting clauses
• Drafting witness statements and reports for disputes
• Undertake Information Governance administration including Data Flow Mapping
• Updating and reviewing organisation's policies relating to GDPR
• Monitoring, responding to and progressing Data Protection enquiries including Freedom of Information requests on behalf of the organisation
