Data Protection Contractor on a contract basis to join this growing Data Protection Team in London.
My client based in Central London are a Global Company and are looking for a Data Protection Contractor to join their team.
This Data Protection Contractor position plays a key role in relationship building; providing subject matter expertise in data privacy to the entire business. You will need to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders within the business.
Key areas of responsibility for this Data Protection Contractor will be:
- Ensure that the core activities and services of the Data Protection Team are carried out efficiently and effectively;
- You will need to have knowledge of UK, EU data protection laws
- Handle requirements Gathering under Article 30 to identify and define the data processing activities
- Handle Data Mapping, Vendor Supply Chain Analysis and Gap Analysis
- Providing advice on marketing activities (email, SMS, telephone, post)
- Conducting data protection risk assessments
- Managing data subject access requests
- Identifying data processor/data controller roles and negotiating data protection terms in third party contracts
- Advising on data retention requirements
- Operating a training programme
- Monitoring compliance
- Communication and co-operation with the ICO
- Reviewing data incidents and determining relevant actions and notifications
- Work with all areas of the business to ensure that data protection is embedded within the business
- Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and regular audits to monitor overall compliance
- Advising, Reviewing and Writing Privacy Policies to embed and maintain 'Privacy by Design' across the business
- Lead on Data Breach Incident Procedures and Response
- Lead on communication, training and awareness of data protection responsibilities
- Ensure adequate internal records are kept and maintained
You must possess the following:
Knowledge of data protection law and practices, in relation to sensitive personal data;
You will have a minimum of 3 years Data Protection experience
Ideally you will be CIPPE qualified
