Rapidly expanding litigation law firm has created a new position, Legal Staffing & Utilization Coordinator, to be based in their London office and reporting to the New York located Director.  This role will be tasked with taking on the lead for all staffing and utilization in the offices outside of the States including being responsible for managing all aspects of legal support on case matters, strategic firm analysis and staffing and capacity analysis (utilization trends) surrounding the firm’s growing global group of Lawyers. This role is critical in analyzing, reporting on, and deploying the right Lawyers to their legal cases to match the fast-changing needs of their clients.   Duties will include actively assess and analyze Lawyer workloads, experience, interests, feedback, and availability, prepare informed staffing proposals and communicate workload expectations, coordinate orientation sessions and workload discussions with new Lawyers, prepare and present critical staffing analysis materials for regularly scheduled partner meetings, maintain various firm databases (3E/Elite, Intapp MTM, Outlook, Excel) for purposes of tracking legal staffing needs and activity levels that tie into crucial client financial projections, assist with staffing related to the firm’s Pro Bono and International Lawyer programs, collaborate with the Professional Development department to support Lawyer development initiatives, work Cross-functionally with Finance, Human Resources, Knowledge Management, Business Development, Professional Development, all legal departments as needed on projects and propose, develop, and implement innovative efficiencies to existing operational processes.  Applicants require a minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in a professional services environment, be detail-oriented and analytical with excellent organization skills, have strong proficiency in MS Office, 3E/Elite and Intapp, be able to oversee multiple projects and be able to liaise with staff at levels.  Applicants need to be degree educated with relevant utilization and analytical experience.
