Commercial Solicitor

This Top 100 firm are looking for a Commercial Solicitor specialising in IP & IT to join a leading UK law firm which provides high quality legal advice for clients ranging from private individuals to multi-national corporations and financial institutions. The firm pride themselves on their client care which is reinforced by their development programme for their staff. They have experienced significant growth in the last 24 months with the hire of several Partners and are now looking for a Commercial Solicitor.

The Role

The firm is seeking to hire a Commercial Solicitor specialising in IP & IT into their office in the heart of Oxford.

The team pride themselves on being specialists in all aspects of Intellectual Property (IP) law with their strong knowledge base allowing them to give clients common sense, practical guidance in a marker that is ever evolving.

The team advise across all IP issues including but not limited to, patents, trademarks, copyright, designs & confidentiality but with a specialist focus on transactional IP work & litigation. The clients include multi-national companies down to specialist technical SME's covering sectors such as fashion, life sciences, telecoms and IT. This role will focus on life science, pharmaceutical and bio-technology clients.

There will also be opportunities for in-house secondment to immerse yourself in client's businesses.

Requirements

• You will be a Commercial Solicitor with 5+ years PQE
• Specialist experience in IP & IT preferably in life sciences/pharmaceuticals/bio-technology
• You will receive excellent training and supervision
• You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Excellent technical knowledge
• Enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities for the department
