HR & Training Coordinator

A diverse and highly rewarding new role is now open as HR & Training Coordinator, within a successful and prestigious international law firm situated in London. This role covers a wide spectrum of responsibilities and will be vital for the daily operations and functioning of the HR team, such as leading graduate attraction and recruitment programmes and ensuring the guidance and development of trainees within the firm. Furthermore, the HR & Training Coordinator will organise events primarily for training purposes, such as away days and inviting external speakers to enhance trainee's development.

Essential Responsibilities of this role:

  • Coordination of graduate recruitment events and processes
  • Coordinate marketing support materials
  • Point of contact for student enquiries
  • Liaise with universities
  • Overseeing the graduate recruitment programmes end to end
  • All aspects of graduate attraction activity, recruitment and care of trainees throughout their seat rotations and appraisals.
  • Making offers and managing candidates post offer
  • Run vacation scheme
  • Main point of contact for Riliance (Risk and Compliance management software)
  • Administrative support for all training matters in the London office.
  • Arranging training courses and away days, including handling invitations, booking places on external course, booking venues and meeting rooms, arranging external speakers, equipment and catering etc;
  • Administering firm's CPD programme and assisting with regulatory compliance requirements
  • Maintenance of all training records.
  • Facilitate, develop and coordinate in-house and external learning and development activities
  • Ensure first aiders, fire wardens and first aiders are trained and undertake refresher training
  • Record and monitor absence, sickness, holiday requests and timesheets for payroll
  • Respond to queries and escalate to Director of Administration when necessary and provide general support with ad hoc demands and contributing towards the HR departments needs as required

The Successful Candidate:

The successful candidate for the role of HR & Training Coordinator will have relevant HR generalist experience preferably within a law firm environment. Also, you will ideally have experience of the processes and procedures of graduate recruitment and the structuring of training contracts in a law firm or an interest in growing your experience in this area.

Lastly the successful candidate must be confident, personable, diplomatic alongside strong networking skills, able to maintain external and internal working relationships. Attention to detail and the ability to approach their work load in a proactive and flexible manner is also key for the HR & Training Coordinator.
