Our client a global software business based in London is seeking a Legal Counsel for a period of 3-6 months.
Reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel, Middle East and Africa you will help the legal team to deliver reliable and trusted core legal support to the MEA region and to the group globally.
Main activities:
*Negotiate and draft software and services related agreements with clients and prospects; subcontracts and other related documents with services partners and introducers; review and advise on bids in competitive tenders; all throughout the MEA region.
*Advise on contract interpretation and legal aspects of business strategy.
*Review and advise on property transactions and employment related matters and agreements.
*Manage contentious files and settlements.
*Liaise with and supervise external counsel for outsourced matters.
*Due diligence for acquisitions; management and supervision of corporate transactions and providing related advice when applicable.
*Follow-up on business and legal activities on a day-to-day basis.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE*. You will have thorough knowledge of contract and commercial law. Solid experience in technology (IP/IT) including software licensing is essential. International/cross border work ideally dealing with countries in the MEA region would be advantageous.
