Banking Solicitor

Our client, who are a a global organisation, have instructed us in relation to an exciting opportunity to join their large legal team based in Birmingham. Our client is seeking a temporary banking lawyer to join their highly regarded banking legal team to work on a range of debt advisory work. This role is rewarded with a competitive salary, along with an opportunity to gain exposure to unusual and exciting banking work. This banking will be on a 6 month basis.

About the role

The corporate and debt legal team advise the business and stakeholders on the legal matters that arise within this space. This banking lawyer will be assisting the head of the corporate bank legal team managing and mitigating legal risks. This lawyer will be recommending and implementing solutions within the relevant business teams. This banking lawyer will be supporting the debt product businesses and teams involved in setting up debts of a high value.

You will be managing precedents and legal documents and being a key part of drafting and reviewing these.

There is also an opportunity to support other teams in corporate banking and assist on large legal projects.

About the person

You will be a qualified lawyer with a background in the finance industry or banking team within private practice.
