Your new role
Our client are one of the fastest growing retailers in the UK and have an excellent opportunity for a commercial property lawyer to join their established in-house legal team to provide direct support to their business. You will cover a range of legal matters that will guide the business towards achieving great results. Based in Somerset, my client is a household name that continues to experience significant ongoing expansion. Reporting to the Legal Director, you will manage the company's existing estate portfolio to optimise the estate and deal with estate management issues such as renewal leases, surrenders and re-grants, licences for alterations, deeds of variation and disputes with adjoining occupiers and landlords. You will advise and negotiate on property related commercial agreements and work closely with external advisers, including panel firms and planning consultants.

About you
You will be a qualified solicitor with proven technical knowledge of a broad range of commercial property law, particularly landlord and tenant matters and portfolio management. Applications are welcomed from lawyers from both a private practice and in-house background. The culture is fast paced therefore you will be commercially focussed, attuned to achieving business needs whilst maintaining professional integrity, objectivity and protecting the wider business interests.

What's in it for you?
This is a great opportunity to work with a leading retail and trade business, helping to advise and support the business in a pragmatic and meaningful way. You will enjoy a competitive salary and an award-winning pension scheme, life cover, discounted healthcare and company share save schemes are all on offer. The business really value work/life balance and their flexible working approach means you can fit your hours around you; they also provide excellent in-house training and ongoing development programmes.
