In House Paralegal Job - Cheltenham - Competitive Package - Agile Working

Your new company
This is an unique opportunity to have exposure to an international financial services business who have recently opened an office in Cheltenham. Given their substantial growth and further plans to develop, the business are looking to bolster their legal team with the addition of an In House Paralegal to their Cheltenham office.

Your new role
You will work alongside an experienced General Counsel on a range of commercial contracts, allowing you to gain knowledge and experience to help you develop your career. The work is a blend of advisory, company secretarial, commercial contracts, regulatory change and compliance and all the variety that comes with working for a smaller, yet still global organisation.

About you
An appetite to learn new skills and the versatility and technical ability to deal with issues outside of your experience and learn quickly on the job is desirable; you will also possess the confidence and gravitas to challenge decisions and actions when required. Our client are keen to hear from candidates with at least a years' experience in a similar role; there is more complex work on offer for ambitious candidates. What's important to our client is getting the right fit for the organisation and them being the right culture for you, as this is a fast paced, commercial environment and the roles will be very autonomous.

You will have solid commercial experience, and an ability to apply that knowledge in a practical and pragmatic way. You will be proficient in drafting contracts, with solid experience of contract negotiation and an interest in commercial/corporate law. Ideally you will have previous financial services experience and have worked in house before, but this is not a pre-requisite.

What you'll get in return
Our client are happy to consider part-time candidates (minimum 3 days a week) and pay performance related bonuses (this year, employees who "met expectations" received a 25% bonus), 5% employer pension contributions, season ticket loan, Vitality health cover, childcare vouchers and 25 days paid holiday. Flexible working can be negotiated. More importantly it is the opportunity to join a team at a time of growth in an industry leading organisation.
