Job Title: Employment Team Legal Secretary
Salary: £33,000
Location: Central London
Established, well-known London law firm are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive legal secretary to join their rapidly expanding team. They are happy to see legal secretaries with a background in any area of law, but if you do have some employment experience that would be an advantage (legal experience is essential). This is a rare opportunity to move into an interesting area of law in a friendly, supportive firm. Responsibilities will include diary management (this will be a large part of the role); client liaison; digital dictation and document management; arranging meetings and managing appointments and organising all travel. This is an excellent opportunity to join the London office of a prestigious firm and is ideal if you have been working as a legal secretary in a local / regional firm and now want to make the move to a London practice. Fantastic working environment, very friendly team and a top role!
Although you will be fully trained on all internal systems and databases, you must have excellent general IT and secretarial skills. It is also essential that you have at least one years’ experience as a secretary in any area of law (employment law would be ideal but not essential), a flexible and proactive approach to your work, strong organisational and timekeeping skills and, most importantly, excellent communication skills. The CILEx level 2 or 3 (or equivalent secretarial qualification) is also desirable.
McKinlay Law endeavour to contact all successful candidates within 24 hours. However, due to the volume of applications that we receive, we are not able to respond to every candidate individually. If you have not heard from us within 24 hours your application has been unsuccessful and we have not retained your details.
