An award winning UK Law Firm is looking to hire a new a new PR & Communications Manager to join the London office on a permanent basis. Responsibilities will include working with Senior Management, Partners and BMS colleagues to develop and execute strategic PR activity in support of defined business goals, working with Senior Management to develop and deliver scenario plans and advise on how best to respond to crisis situations, actively monitoring the unfolding news agenda, proactively and reactively manage negative PR, mitigating its business impact, taking ownership for proactive and reactive media relations activity, being the contact point and fulcrum for incoming queries from all media, proactively manage the firms relationship with its PR agencies, reviewing the service delivered where necessary, and conducting tender processes if required, working with the Senior Marketing Communications Manager to implement best practice and improve processes across all PR & Communications activity, develop and deliver multi-channel internal communications campaigns covering (non-exclusively): major change programmes, cross-selling activity, business wins, project engagement and business as usual milestones in the firm's calendar.  Other duties include taking primary responsibility for managing the firms live internal news channel, including sourcing, drafting and editing content, taking responsibility for oversight of the legal directories process and manage the relationship with our external directories consultant, reviewing the service where necessary, acting as primary contact for copyediting to ensure content and thought leadership adheres to house style, liaising with production team where relevant, research, write and edit award submissions. Candidates must be educated to degree level, have previous PR experience within a professional services organisation, preferably within a law firm, excellent project management experience and strong communication, organisation and writing skills.
