Venn Group are currently recruiting for a Contracts and Procurement Locum within a respected local authority for an immediate start. This is a vital position to provide all requisite legal requirements and advice relating to a complete range of products, services and contracts. This is a 3 month temporary contract. It is paying an attractive hourly rate based on experience and allows for working outside IR35.

Your duties will include:

• Ensuring adherence to all local authority processes, statutory duties and requirements for OJEU processes and procurement for a variety of areas
• Approving and monitoring of bids, tenders and contract award for various goods and services within a large local authority including social care contracts, street lighting, telephony, IT, development, facilities, recruitment etc
• Providing advice and guidance to various managers in variety of departments
• Representing the best interests of the local authority while ensuring a high level of statutory compliance including EU Regulations
• Dealing with all due diligence and data protection requirements as set out under GDPR
• Monitoring contracts and reviewing compliance and service agreements

This would be an ideal role for somebody with previous contracts and procurement experience as this is a pre-requisite of the position.
