YORKSHIRE WATER (KELDA GROUP)
IN-HOUSE LITIGATION LAWYER
LEEDS/BRADFORD
Salary up to £32,500 dependent on experience plus bonus & benefits
In-house roles for Litigation lawyers are very rare so we are delighted to be instructed on this fantastic role advising Yorkshire Water and other companies within the wider Kelda Group.
With fifteen lawyers in total, and three lawyers within the Litigation team, you will be joining a brilliant group of in-house lawyers.
As the one of the biggest landowners in the region and with 5.2 million customers, there is a huge amount of variety to the matters you might be dealing with from one day to the next. You can expect to advise on civil/arbitration claims, regulatory issues, employment law and criminal matters. What makes this particular role so interesting as well as so unusual is the ability to bring prosecutions on behalf of Yorkshire Water.
You must already have a good grasp of civil litigation processes from your current and/or previous roles and it would also be useful for you to have advised on a wider range of contentious issues.
Qualified solicitors as well as qualified legal executives with strong litigation experience are encouraged to apply. The team is looking for someone who can advise internal stakeholders in a confident manner and who can take a commercial approach to that advice.
There is likely to be some travel between sites within Yorkshire so you must be able to drive and have permanent access to a car.
