Corporate / Commercial / Banking Paralegal (Team Manager) - This growing team is looking to hire an experienced paralegal or legal executive to manage a team of more junior paralegals in this growing Manchester team. Their responsibility will be to deliver support to the corporate M&A, commercial and banking teams. Ideally, candidates should have around 2 years of experience or more in commercial, corporate or banking, but ultimately the client is looking to attract a broad spectrum of candidate. Candidates with commercial litigation experience will also be considered.

- Previous Experience: Candidates should ideally have proven corporate, banking or commercial experience from one of the larger commercial law firms. They should have a minimum of 2 years experience and either have some management / team leading experience or be looking for a step up into a more senior role.
NATURE OF THE WORK
Paralegals within the team are usually involved on a range of work - from corporate M & A, though to Banking and commercial contracts work. It should be stressed that candidates do not require experience in all these areas. This is a management role and the successful applicant will be expected to lead and motivate a team of around 12 more junior paralegals / fee earners who support on various deals undertaken by the firm.
Typically, the tasks given to more junior paralegals within the department range from assisting on due diligence exercises, to document review as well as supporting on large pieces of commercial litigation. As a Manager of such a team, you will have very limited fee earning responsibilities. Your role will focus more on managing the team in terms of productivity and capacity and conducting and necessary reviews and setting relevant KPIs in terms of career progression.
