Our client specializes in the provision of bespoke financial and professional services to institutional and professional clients, supporting them with company structures establishment and companies' administration. reporting to the General Counsel, you will provide a bespoke and effective solution for each client.
With HQ in London and subsidiaries in Luxembourg and New Zealand, you will undertake a broad ranging hands-on role as detailed below:
- Develop and implement succession planning strategy for the client
- Responsible for various family-related tax matters: international inheritance/tax issues
- Recommend and implement wealth structuring solutions adapted to personal and asset related requirements
- Cooperate with internal legal and tax advisers and trust managers pre- and post-structure set up
- Supervise the implementation of necessary changes in order to achieve the long-term goals of the client
- Review/draft legal, trust and related documentation
- Identify and communicate risks and opportunities to implement and improve existing structures
- Develop and implement international tax planning strategies
- Strong knowledge of international corporate and tax law, cross-border structuring and inheritance
- Oversee corporate transactions (incorporation, ownership transfer etc.) both English and foreign
Requirements and Competencies
- 5+ years of experience at a top-tier law firm and/or inhouse
- Extensive experience in trust and service industry required
- Ability to provide strategic business advice and legal/tax assistance regarding specific deals and trusts
Essential Skills and Experience
- Ability to prioritize matters and ability to work well in a team and alone
- A solution orientated self-starter with strong organisation skills and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of a 2nd European language is advantageous -
- Qualified lawyer/accountant
- TEP qualification would be welcome
