Leading law firm is looking for an Professional/Associate Development Assistant to join the expanding HR team, the team is one of the most friendly and committed to delivering a consistent and high-quality client service in London.  The Associate Development Assistant provides administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the global learning and development (L&D) and professional development (PD) functions. You will be responsible for the administration and organisation of local EMEA, EMEA-wide and global L&D programmes, continuing professional development (CPD) and local compliance programmes for legal employees at all levels. This role may involve some travel to other offices in our EMEA region.  Duties will include provides administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the global L&D and PD functions and initiatives, including; running reports, arranging meetings, liaising with speakers and relevant internal contacts, organising travel, managing training calendars and tracking workshop attendance, use technology and multimedia to support L&D programmes, work with practice group management and professional support lawyers to administer legal training programmes, maintain training schedules and relevant records, assist with expenses, invoices and the budget reporting process, administers London new joiner compliance training, assist with the management of England & Wales SRA regulatory requirements and supports EMEA offices with local regulatory requirements, maintain the online filing structure so that materials can be shared with the wider team, works closely with graduate recruitment to provide administrative support for vacation schemes and trainee training, liaise with practice group managers, administrators and presenters to arrange trainee seat rotation training every four months. Keeps accurate records of attendance, administer the practice group consortium meetings and training. Liaises with and maintains close relationships with relevant professional support lawyers and external contacts and gather and consolidate feedback from training sessions into feedback reports for the team.  The key skills are client is looking for are being a self-starter and positive ‘can-do’ attitude - willingness to tackle what needs doing within the team to get the job done, strong IT skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word, able to function in a collaborative organisation and add value as a team player, detailed-oriented, good organisational skills - ability to juggle multiple tasks and deliver to tight deadlines and able to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in writing.  Applicants need to have an interest in working in L&D/HR and have previous legal administration experience even if it is only from an internship etc.  Standard hours are 9:30 – 17:30 with offices housed in the City.
