Your new company
An executive agency who operate at arms lengths from ministers who are responsible for carrying out the Governments debt management policy. Based in the heart of London, they are seeking an interim corporate finance and/or debt capital markets Lawyer to join their busy legal team.
Your new role
As the interim Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing legal support and advice on financial markets documentation and transactions, including debt capital markets, repurchase agreements, swap agreements, legal opinions, signing authorities, counterparty terms of business, KYC requests, non-disclosure agreements, while ensuring compliance with the bodies policies and standards. You will also provide legal support and advice on commercial agreements with IT providers and other suppliers and provide legal support and advice on public law matters. Finally, you will manage complex negotiations with external counterparties as well as working with internal stakeholders, responding to internal questions and summarising key issues.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the role, you should be qualified to practice law in England and Wales as a Solicitor or Barrister with at least 3-4 years' experience in finance (e. DCM, banking, derivatives or structured finance), including drafting and negotiating complex contracts as well as ancillary documentation such as legal opinions, terms of business and non-disclosure agreements. You should had a good understanding of the key aspects of fixed income and money market instruments, repos and swaps as well as a good understanding of financial markets regulation. This role requires SC level security clearance but exceptional candidate without SC clearance will also be considered.
