In-House Legal Counsel / IT Lawyer

How you will make a difference…

We have a permanent opportunity for an experienced in-house legal adviser.  You will provide practical and commercial legal advice and assistance to support our UK business to ensure that deals are closed and risk mitigation is covered.

What you will be doing…

• Provide general legal advice and support to the UK business on customer commercial and corporate transactions and legal matters impacting the UK business
• Advise, work closely with and provide support to UK sales, consulting services and management on the negotiation and closure of customer, partner and supplier agreements
• Advise on and support bid management and sales operations on customer procurement, tender and bid documentation, and prepare contract sign-offs and effectively work with management to obtain internal contract approvals
• Advise the UK business and management on company policies and procedures related to risk management, GDPR compliance, contract processes, customer engagements and protection of company intellectual property
• Support and work closely and collaboratively with the global management, legal and corporate services teams

What you will need…

• Minimum 5+ years post-qualified experience as an in-house legal adviser with experience working with sales operations on bid and contract negotiation
• Proven experience in negotiating large complex commercial IT transactions
• Ability to work closely with and advise management, sales, consultancy services and technical teams on contracts and other legal matters
• Ability to work independently and autonomously within our UK office with support from HQ in Australia
• A strong commercial approach ensuring customer agreements are closed and risk mitigation is covered
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
