A rare and unique opportunity has arisen for a litigation solicitor who also has extensive immigration experience to join a leading regional law firm, to be based in their Birmingham office. The firm offers a friendly and supportive environment, along with modern technology and plenty of autonomy!
Our client is looking to appoint a litigation solicitor who is capable of handling an array of matters but also somebody who has extensive immigration experience and is keen to set up and develop an immigration department.
You will come on board handling your own caseload of litigation matters to include; consumer disputes, landlord & tenant, possession claims, personal injury, debt recovery along with partnership disputes, IP disputes, contractual disputes and general civil litigation matters, to include some immigration matters with a view to building and developing this!
As a litigation and immigration solicitor in this team, you must be able to work independently without significant supervision, the partner is on hand to provide support where necessary but is unable to train somebody – so it is essential that you have a broad range of litigation experience from the outset! More importantly, you will have a background in immigration to a high standard with the aim being you will build and develop an immigration team over time.
Obviously, this is a rare opportunity and something quite different. It will enable you to split your time between two areas of law giving you plenty of variety and a good challenge!
