Head of Legal Operations, Leading Property Co London 12months

My client, a leading and iconic brand in the property sector, is creating a new role in their growing and dynamic legal team, that of a Legal Operations lead. Reporting directly into the Group General Counsel, the role will work closely with the legal leadership team and will focus on the optimisation of the company's legal operations. As the first hire of this nature, the successful candidate will have a genuine impact on the operating efficiency of the business and legal team. The role will initially be a 12 month contract, with scope to become permanent.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in legal operations in-house or at a premier law firm (preferably a combination of both). Legal qualifications are not required although they would also consider a qualified lawyer wanting to transition into legal operations. Experience in developing, implementing and using legal department technology and analytics solutions is helpful, as is an ability to understand and map business process and apply lean principles to further improve and advance efficiencies. Experience in working with cross-functional groups (e. Business/Operations teams, Finance and IT) to set objectives and deliver meaningful results is crucial.

This is an exciting and wide-reaching position, requiring legal industry insight, financial management, change management, strategic planning, procurement/external resource management, and a passion for technology.
