A globally leading investment bank are looking to bring on an Employee Relations Specialist to join their HR team based in Canary Wharf, for a six-month contract.

About the role

Forming part of the ER specialist team, the Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for successfully handling all disciplinary and grievance cases.

Key responsibilities

  • Partnering with the Litigation and Investigations teams and/or external counsel to investigate high profile and complex investigations into conduct related matters and reportable concerns
  • Representing the UK ER team on global and regional projects and tasks such as development of conduct risk scorecard, Equal Pay reviews and global e-learning initiatives
  • Providing ER related training and coaching as required
  • When acting as a Disciplinary or Grievance Decision Maker, applying extensive ER/Employment Law experience and knowledge to handle cases quickly, effectively and professionally
  • Facilitating and contributing to discussions with members of the UK Conduct Escalation Review Panel (UK CERP)
  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders, including the Head of HR, HR Business Partners, the Employment Law team, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

Key requirements

  • Significant Employee Relations experience, including the management of complex investigations, disciplinary cases and grievance cases
  • Proven understanding of the UK employment law and regulatory frameworks
  • Financial services experience is essential
