In House Legal Counsel

A Yorkshire based company with turnover of over a billion pounds is looking for an In House Legal Counsel to join their team on a permanent, full time basis.

This business has a very impressive track record of growth across their sector. Now seen as one of the industry's leading players, their growth is set to continue. Based in impressive new offices, the legal team is at the heart of the commercial decision making within the business. 

Role Description

As the appointed In House Counsel, you will take on a diverse range of work, which is likely to include:

• Working on large scale customer contracts and negotiations
• Negotiating, drafting and reviewing customer, supplier and outsourcing agreements across the whole range of goods and services, including B2B and B2C on the customer side, and general services on the supply side
• Assisting with any corporate activity, intellectual property issues and marketing and advertising agreements
• Instructing external Counsel and providing general ad hoc advice to the business

The Candidate

The ideal In House Legal Counsel is likely to have:

• 1-5 years’ PQE
• Broad experience dealing with commercial contracts
• Background at a reputable firm / in house team of a business
• Strong technical legal abilities
• Great communication skills with the ability to confidently work with the senior management team
