In-House Real Estate Finance Lawyer 3-5 yrs - London

My client focuses in securities lending with a portfolio of circa. €75bn comprising of credit, structured and asset backed finance markets. This business has rapidly developed an exceptional reputation across EMEA for their first class experience in advising owners, investors and traders of debt to manage their portfolios across these markets.

They recently acquired a subsidiary business of global US bank which has created an exciting opportunity for an In-house Real Estate finance lawyer to primarily responsible for supervising junior in-house counsel and managing the origination and on-boarding process where the business is appointed as facility agent and/or security agent on commercial real estate loan transactions. You will review and negotiate LMA-based facility agreements and related security documents, liaising with the various company stakeholders (asset management, compliance and loan administration teams, as well as senior management) and appointing and liaising with external Counsel.

The Candidate
You will report to the Head of Legal and manage an NQ Lawyer, so this job requires a confident individual who is intimidated by dealing with matters outside of their comfort zone but rather relishes this exposure. Must be a pragmatic lawyer who can oversea legal situations with commercial solutions and understands the commercial impact of when deals go wrong. The PQE level is 3-5 yrs and candidates with previous in-house experience or secondment experience will be preferred. Applications from German speaking lawyers would be advantageous.
