Banking & Finance Associate/Senior Associate

We are working with a leading Birmingham practice who are looking to grow their Banking/Finance team with the recruitment of a solicitor at either Associate or Senior Associate level.

Description

This is an opportunity for an experienced Banking Solicitor to make a move to a leading team that can offer quality of work, work/life balance and a career path. This role would suit a frustrated Banking Solicitor who might be weighing up whether they want to remain in practice especially with the influx in in-house Banking recruitment.

This is a relatively small team so there are genuine opportunities for progression within the team.

The team is on the panel for most of the local banks and you will take a leading role in helping maintain and grow these relationships.

The firm recognises that a lot of practice lawyers in Banking will be frustrated with work/life balance and so they have adopted a culture within the team that allows for more flexibility. They are happy to discuss this in more detail with you.

If you are currently within a firm and you either don't want to be a partner there or can't see this being achievable in the mid-term, they are also happy to discuss your mid term goals around promotions.

The work will be a real mixed bag from acquisition finance through to structured finance.

Profile

Ideally you will have at least 3y PQE and will have established yourself as a solid transactional Banking lawyer. Our client will consider candidates with a range of PQE and depending on PQE you could be able to move either as an Associate or Senior Associate.
