Corporate Paralegal Role Description
We are looking for a Paralegal to join our prestigious Corporate team, directly supporting Partners and Associates in their practice with their client work. Your main responsibilities will include the day-to-day support of fee-earners, including ad hoc projects, managing data room and document disclosure exercise, and other legal research tasks. You will also be responsible for other ad hoc administrative tasks to support the Corporate PSLs, assisting fee earners with precedent searches, and minuting meetings. Our ideal candidate will usually be expected to have completed, or be completing, their LPC, and will also be expected to have strong academic qualifications (2:1 degree or above), excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work effectively. Alongside this, we are looking for someone with highly competent written and spoken communication abilities, has the ability to pick up new legal concepts quickly, has excellent research and IT skills, is a good team player, and is self-motivated and able to work independently, bringing an enthusiastic and 'can-do' attitude to all their work.
Key Tasks
- Identifying useful materials, and indexing and publishing them on the firm’s know how database
- Co-ordinating the collection of Corporate precedents created by fee earners
- Note the most important decisions made during meetings, recording project ownership and responsibilities, distributing minutes to all participants and filing for future reference
- Arrange documents in an efficient and convenient manner for storage and future reference
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle a constantly changing workload
- The ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels
- Have a good eye for detail, and ensure all documentation is accurate
