A well-known global insurer is looking for a Corporate Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal team in London. This is a permanent, full time position.
Role Description
The Legal Counsel will take on a broad and varied role within the team. Key duties will include:
- Providing legal advice on M&A and general corporate matters
- Working on various projects / corporate governance
- Managing legal risk to meet the commercial and strategic needs of the organisation
- Occasionally working on commercial agreements
Candidate Profile
The successful In-House Counsel will have the following attributes:
- 5+ years’ PQE as a Corporate Solicitor
- Excellent credentials from a leading law firm / similar financial services institution
- Insurance experience (desirable)
- A commercial contracts background (beneficial but not essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
