Our client a fast growing global company is looking to recruit an In House Solicitor to join its in house legal team. Our client is a leader in its sector.

Description

The legal counsel will work closely with the Acquisitions and Legal Director and other senior individuals in the business to provide legal, regulatory and governance support.

The main duties and responsibilities for the In House Solicitor role will include the following. If you can undertake some of the below then this may be a suitable role for you.

  • Advising on a wide variety of legal matters across the business;
  • Drafting and negotiating a range of legal commercial documents applicable to the business activities (including customer and supply agreements, partnering arrangements, data protection related documents, IT related agreements and other ancillary documents);
  • Supporting the acquisitions team on mergers, acquisitions and post-acquisition implementation;
  • Assisting in the Group's global legal and regulatory compliance;
  • Providing company secretarial support as required (board minutes, resolutions, constitutional documents etc);
  • Supporting the Data Privacy and Security teams in all matters relating to data protection (governance and accountability, data subject access requests, information sharing arrangements);
  • Assisting operational team in developing dispute resolution strategies;
  • Keeping abreast and assessing impact to the business of changes in law/regulation;
  • Supervising and managing external counsel;
  • Supporting the development and delivery of commercial/legal training to managers across the business;

Profile

  • Qualified solicitor with demonstrable experience of Commercial and Corporate law.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory guidance and legislation (ideally including, consumer credit and data protection law).
  • Ability to write, present and verbally communicate at a very high standard.
  • Able to work under pressure, handling challenges with confidence, drive and enthusiasm.
  • Highly proficient technology user (preferably with Office 365 products).
