An opportunity has arisen to work within our firm’s Travel and Holiday Claims Personal Injury department at our Kingston office. Simpson Millar is a nationwide law firm and operates from 11 locations in the UK.

For this role ideally you will have a sound knowledge of Travel and Holiday Personal Injury Law including procedural and practical skills, an indepth understanding of Legal Expenses Insurance and a track record as a fee earner. We are also able to consider candidates who have Personal Injury experience in other areas. Strong IT skills and an ability to work with a case management system are essential as is experience of working with the general public demonstrating a sensitive and cooperative approach with our clients. 

This role is for a 12 months FTC providing maternity cover though the successful candidate will be well placed for any additional opportunities which arise within the team.

The Role

  • To take responsibility for the conduct and caseload of Fast-Track and Multi-Track Travel/Holiday personal injury cases from initial instruction to conclusion
  • To manage the efficient and prompt progression of cases and ensure cases are concluded to financial targets
  • To undertake risk-assessments and liaise directly with clients and third parties
  • To adhere to the professional Code of Conduct and comply with the firm’s internal policies, best practices and procedures as updated from time to time and to comply with all applicable legislation applicable to the legal profession and to all relevant quality standards
