An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced law costs draftsman to join a well respected award-winning law firm in their Manchester city centre office.
The role is to work within the firm's Health Team in Manchester, you will be expected to provide dedicated costs support for litigation lawyers across several UK offices. Previous law costs experience is essential, commercial and clinical negligence claims experience would be advantageous.
You will be responsible for the management of a varied caseload including reviewing bills of costs, drafting points of dispute, negotiating costs to settlement and some advocacy.
The role involves dealing predominantly with adverse costs claims on multi track matters.
This law costs draftsman role requires a self-starter with the confidence to work autonomously, working on files from start to finish. You will be expected to draft points of dispute, have knowledge of Costsmaster and up to date knowledge of the CPR and legislation.
