A the global leader in electronics devices with over 200k employees across 60+ countries and yearly turnover exceeding £116 billion GBP. They're on track to become THE leading Electronics brand and to double its turnover by 2020. They now require a Interim Head of Legal to report to the EU Head of Legal and Compliance and ensure efficient delivery of legal and compliance services across the Europe Office and across the European subsidiaries.

You will brief and report directly to Senior Management across the UK and EU including the European President and CFO, as well as to the Global HQ on all relevant legal matters/projects. You will focus on the management of the delivery of advice on a range of legal practice areas as required by the Europe Office both from a contract/commercial perspective, as well as from a 'regulatory' perspective including:

You will have a specific focus on the management of the EU Competition Law workload with support from a junior Legal Counsel, facilitating the provision of bespoke EU and UK Competition Law advice, including in respect of pan-EU sales and marketing strategies,.

The successful candidate must be a UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 10 years' PQE comprising of thorough Commercial law experience with the natural ability to navigate in scoping risk, so competition law would be advantageous. Must have credible team management experience whilst being capable to manage a fully operational and self sufficient legal team as you will need guide the team across multiple disciplines and anti-trust experience is advantageous. Must have minimal job moves in your legal career and be natural pragmatic and entrepreneurial lawyer with strong leadership skills. It's essential for candidates to have excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to work/communicate with, influence and provide guidance to individuals at all levels of the organisation. Candidates should have excellent academics with training from a top tier global/London firm and be experienced in terms of managing/co-managing a team or ideally a legal function in-house.
