Sellick Partnership are currently assisting a local authority in London to recruit a Senior Planning and Highways Lawyer on an interim basis.
The successful Planning Lawyer will have the opportunity to undertake a caseload of planning and highway matters on behalf of the borough, including planning committee work.
Duties will include:
- Attending and acting as one of the legal advisers to the Council's planning and licencing committees, including providing advice to officers and members
- Drafting, negotiating and completing S planning agreements
- Drafting, negotiating and completing highway agreements and advise in relation to status queries
- Undertake and project manage planning inquiries, appeals and judicial reviews
- Advising on planning and enforcement matters
Candidates must be either a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a current practising certificate. Strong advocacy skills would be beneficial for the role. The candidate should be available on short notice.
